The Kings Head Christmas Party 2025

Established in 1679 as a coaching inn, The King’s Head in Chipping Ongar is the oldest brick-fronted building on Chipping Ongar High Street. Named after King James II, who is believed to have stayed here during his reign, this Grade II listed building is home to a traditional lounge area with open fire, comfortable bar, function room, and an open plan 100-seat restaurant complete with its full-length open theatre kitchen. The characteristics of the building wrap around two outside terraces providing views to open fields with one even being heated and covered meaning full usage at any time of year. Its large footprint but yet intimate spaces spanning over 2 levels make it the perfect event for your next event.
