Every December, Ascot Racecourse swaps its jockeys' silks and top hats for twinkling lights and Christmas crackers, which makes it a festive front runner among Christmas party venues in Berkshire. The Grandstand that hosts Royal Ascot each June fills with garlands of gold baubles hung through its huge glass atrium, and the racecourse can host Christmas parties for anything from 10 guests to several thousand.
For a big night with plenty of buzz, the shared Christmas parties bring together colleagues, friends and clients. Guests will enjoy a festive three-course dinner finished off at a chocolate fondue dessert station, live entertainment and a DJ keeping the dancefloor busy. Exclusive Christmas parties run from November into January for 50 to 600 guests in a private space of your own. You can choose a seated dinner, a festive grazing buffet or bowl food.
The Grandstand Atrium hosts the largest Christmas celebrations, and the Panoramic Suite works well for mid-sized parties. For a smaller, more intimate Christmas party in Ascot, the Royal Enclosure Lodge can be hired exclusively in December for up to 20 guests. Guests who want to stay over can get preferred rates at nearby hotels through the racecourse's hotel partnership.
Ascot Racecourse sits in wooded Berkshire countryside next to Windsor Great Park, and it's one of the easiest Christmas party venues near London to reach. Trains take around 52 minutes from London Waterloo and 27 minutes from Reading. From Ascot station it's a ten-minute walk or a two-minute taxi ride. If you're driving, the M3, M4 and M25 are all close by.
There's free parking for up to 6,000 cars, plus coaches and minibuses, and the Christmas party car park is right opposite the entrance. There's also a taxi rank and drop-off point within 100 metres of the door for when the last dance is done. That makes it a practical choice for teams coming from London, Windsor, Reading, Bracknell and across the Thames Valley.
