Albert's Schloss Soho turns its corner of the West End into a full Bavarian Christmas every December, with brass bands, marching bands, choirs and keg tapping running alongside a nightly programme of Kabaret and live music. It's a big, theatrical way to see out the year, and one that very few Christmas party venues in London can match for spectacle.
The venue is part Alpine bar, part beer hall, part live entertainment stage. It has a Cook Haus kitchen serving Bavarian-leaning food, a house band and resident DJs, and seven days of showtime performances. That entertainment-first identity carries straight through into Christmas: expect Santa and Mrs Claus making an appearance, extra Kabaret and haus band sets. Food runs from an Alpine-inspired winter menu offering a full festive set menu with all the trimmings and smorgasbord banquets.
Several private and semi-private spaces sit within the venue for groups wanting a semi-private area to celebrate amongst a larger crowd. Ludwig's Tavern is a mezzanine bar overlooking the main stage, best suited to larger parties who still want to feel part of the show. The Vault leans into the beer-hall theme with its own bar access, the Schnapps Booths offer a smaller, more intimate setup for drinks-led groups, and the Bier Halle's long wooden benches put guests right in front of the entertainment for a proper sit-down Christmas extravaganza.
Albert's Schloss Soho sits on Shaftesbury Avenue, right in the middle of the West End, with Piccadilly Circus station around two minutes' walk away and Leicester Square not much further. For anyone travelling into London for their Christmas party, it's about as central as a venue gets.
