EMBRACE THE EXTRAORDINARY

Chiswell Street Dining Room(s) is a traditional venue dating back to the days of Dickens, beautiful on the inside and outside, we offer a fine selection of food from British farms and producers. We work closely with artisanal, bespoke suppliers who like us, are mostly family run businesses with a real passion for seasonal, sustainable and fully traceable great British produce. Shared parties welcome in the restaurant, or we have a variety of private dining options:

Grubb Street: This private room (named after the street now called Milton Street) features Georgian panelled walls, vintage distressed mirrors and handcrafted oak flooring. It provides a classic setting which is perfect for private breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Seating up to 12 people, or up to 20 for a standing reception, we can offer a range of sumptuous menus. The Snug: Housed within the famous old Whitbread Brewery building, now the Montcalm City five star hotel, the restaurant and bar has been designed with an elegant and luxurious feel bringing country living to the city. Seating up to 16 people and standing space for 20 guests.

The Samuel: Located on the ground floor, this room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the old brewery cobbled courtyard and can either be divided and used as three rooms for up to 10 guests in each or be opened up to seat up to 53 for dinner or 100 for a reception.

The Melville: Named after one of the original investors in the Whitbread Brewery, The Melville Room is situated on the ground floor of the Montcalm Hotel and hosts an abundance of natural light. The room seats 30 guests or can host 50 standing.

The Worseley: Named after one of the original founders of the old Whitbread brewery, this private events room is situated on the ground floor of the Montcalm Hotel. It boasts original Grade I listed timber features from the old Brewery offices. It has a high ceiling with a central chandelier and large sash windows overlooking Chiswell Street. For private dining the room can accommodate up to 26 on 1 long table and up to 30 people for a standing reception.

Cornwallis: Our largest space on the lower ground level offers a fantastic size room with high ceilings and modern lighting for 70 seated for dinner and up to 120 for a reception. There is no charge for this room, however a minimum spend will be required. Ideal for a lively dinner and dance!
