Unwrapping The Winters of the World Xmas Event

A truly inclusive and immersive Christmas party in London unlike any other

An exclusive spotlight with the visionaries behind The Winters of the World

The Winters of the World aims to redefine your perception of the traditional Christmas party

From the moment we heard about The Winters of the World at Finsbury Square, London, we were captivated by its unique concept and curious to learn how it stands apart from the traditional Christmas party. So, we sat down with its co-founders, Chris Scriven and Will Goy, to give you the inside scoop on this extraordinary event. In our exclusive Q&A, they share how they’ve crafted a Christmas party experience unlike any other - from competitive winter-themed games to a menu curated by award-winning chefs. Ready to discover what makes The Winters of the World truly one-of-a-kind? Read on.

What is The Winters of The World Christmas Party?

Will: The Winters of The World Is London’s newest and most exciting corporate Christmas party venue. Between the 2nd and 20th of December, we will be sharing our globally inspired, winter-themed event with London. We are honoured to be raising vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity this year. With your help, together we can give back to a charity so vital to so many families in the U.K.

Chris: What started as a casual conversation over drinks, has transformed into an immersive winter experience in the heart of London. We’ve conceptualised, created, and built something that we truly believe is different from anything else on the market. Live après-ski bands, competitive socialising activities, Michelin-star chef team all in a festive setting...it’s a blend of fun, creativity, and high team energy.

How does The Winters of The World invoke inclusivity?

Will: The Winters of The World is a celebration of global diversity, where we embrace the many ways different cultures celebrate the winter season around the world. Thanks to the vision and belief of my amazing team, we are privileged to be offering a more representative experience of the world that we live in today. It’s different, it’s inclusive and it’s going to be incredibly fun for all those who join us!

Chris: We’ve created something fresh to the winter season and something that is truly inclusive - different from the traditional sit-down meal; it’s about bringing people together in a relaxed, fun atmosphere where every moment is designed to be memorable. This is more than just a party; it’s celebrating inclusivity and fun in a way that stands apart from the typical holiday event.

What can clients expect when they arrive at The Winters of The World Christmas party?

Will: Set in a fully heated, beautifully presented marquee we combine a fully immersive multi-activity games arena with 4 incredible bars serving the very best selection of drinks, a delicious food menu curated by award-winning chefs, live DJs and Apres ski bands playing the very best festive tunes, entertainment from some of London's very best entertainers and much more, bringing your company together in an “informal setting.”

Chris: We didn’t just want to create another Christmas party; we wanted to deliver something that felt truly fresh and exciting. It’s an event where every detail—from the entertainment to the food and drink—has been carefully crafted to ensure it’s not just another party, but an experience that leaves lasting memories.

We have 3 incredible “off the shelf” packages on offer which all include reserved space, thirst-quenching drinks, delicious globally inspired food, 55 minutes of gameplay under the supervision of our amazing team of actors, access to live music and entertainment and much more.

Chris: After months of preparation, we’ve made sure the booking process is as seamless as the event itself. With flexible packages designed to suit a range of group sizes, from small teams to large corporate celebrations, we’ve got options that cover all the essentials—reserved spaces, incredible food, drinks, gameplay, and entertainment. For those looking for a more bespoke experience, we offer custom packages to ensure every detail is tailored to your team’s needs.

Given the excitement and anticipation around The Winters of The World, bookings are filling up fast, so we encourage clients to reach out to our team as soon as possible to secure their space.

Why did you choose Eisstock and Jingle Bowls as the arena games?

Will: The very essence of competitive socialising focuses on providing team games to clients. Both Eisstock and Jingle Bowls are team games to perfectly encompass this.

We are all about celebrating global traditions: We have a Bavarian-themed element to the space and Eisstock is a Bavarian form of curling - it makes perfect sense! Eisstock—a game that’s hugely popular across Europe but hasn’t been widely introduced in the UK - brings that competitive, festive energy without feeling like “just another winter event.” We’re using Eisstock stones made of metal - just like the ones used on frozen lakes in Europe. We’ve partnered with Glice, the world’s leading synthetic ice manufacturer to ensure our guests can enjoy the feel of a true Eisstock match in the heart of London, without compromising on quality or authenticity.

Chris: As for Jingle Bowls, it’s the perfect winter adaptation of our hugely successful Bowls Club concept. We’ve designed Jingle Bowls to stay as true to the original game as possible, while making it accessible and fun for everyone. As the organisers of the world’s largest lawn bowls event (so we have been told many times) we’ve taken all our expertise to craft this festive version, bringing the same fun, competitiveness, and team spirit that people love.

Both Eisstock and Jingle Bowls are about offering something different—games that are interactive, inclusive, and engaging for everyone involved.

Tell us more about the unique dining experience offered at The Winters of The World

Will: We’re incredibly excited to be working with three amazing, award-winning chefs - Jordan Bailey, Tom Kemble and Jonas Lodge - who have helped to create a menu which complements the globally-inspired event we’re building. The menu reflects the diverse cultures celebrated at The Winters of The World including Japan, French and Northern America - with donburi, steak frites and smash burgers from Heard. Our incredible team has made sure to provide something that caters for each and every client that walks into the space.

Chris:  And because we know people don’t want to be tied to a formal sit-down meal, we’ve designed the dining experience to be flexible and informal, allowing guests to enjoy the food at their own pace while moving between activities. It’s about delivering great food in a relaxed atmosphere, making sure everyone finds something they love.

Why have you chosen Finsbury Square as the location?

Will: We’re extremely thankful and have been lucky enough to have a great relationship with Islington Council over years which has allowed us to throw multiple events in this iconic space and bring our visions to life. All of our past events are targeted towards a corporate market and, therefore, being in the heart of The City is fundamental to our business strategy.

Chris: Finsbury Square is central, really accessible, it’s beautiful and it’s where a lot of amazing events have taken place. It’s an iconic, gorgeous space that gives us the canvas to create something truly magical, right in the heart of London’s business district. This event is about offering something different, and this venue provides the perfect stage for that.
