The Akeman Inn

Named after the ancient Roman road upon which it resides, The Akeman Inn in Kingswood existed as a coaching inn for 200 years, until the mid-19th century. Situated between Bicester and Aylesbury, this substantial building offers a lounge and bar area sympathetically designed with a range of comfortable seating options, open fireplace, modern restaurant with timber beams, theatrical open kitchen, views of open countryside, and ample parking. This versatile space serves as a brilliant option for your next event. We are also home to the Oakman Kitchen Garden, a sprawling 1.2 acres with over 500 native trees, apple and damson orchards, planting beds for vegetables, salads and seasonal fruit. The aim is to create a series of highly productive plots that allow for rotational planting, propagation, and healthy, sustainable crops that can be used proudly in our daily specials.
